"Baptism of Fire" The issue begins with the new team of Cap and Bucky training in anticipation of their first mission. The team eventually does get their first missions which takes them back to Walker's small home town to catch a group of radical extremists called the Watchdogs. Walker begins to use his local friends to get info but it ends up fruitless. Eventually they try a plan were Lemar poses as a pornographer and Walker attacks him. This brings Walker into the center of the Watchdogs and he becomes a member, but during his initiation they plan to hang Lemar. Walker grapples with the decision and decides not to help him, instead hoping Lemar's augmented neck muscles can hold him. The plan comes fruition and not only is Walker able to catch them in the act as Captain America, but Lemar is able to escape his near-death situation.
